The entrance closes 30 minutes prior to dusk. It is everyone's responsibilty to exit the park on time. Constables are usually on hand to facilitate the exodus of slow-pokes.
Gates close 30 minutes before dark, so closing times change seasonally with Daylight Savings time. Summer closing is around 9 pm, winter closing is around 6 pm. Once the sun starts to get low, better pack up or you will be locked in!
Park closes at 8:30pm. Park time is posted on the board by the restrooms.
The park closes at 8pm or depending on how much daylight is left. A Harris County Constable patrols the area and a park ranger will make an announcement that the park will be closing in 30 minutes or less. I try to gather up my things before the announcement is made.
