Yep 45-60 min. You can make a res, but yours leave every ten minutes. We didn't have a res and got in in 20 min. They have a gift shop and cafeteria while you wait
The lantern tour sells out pretty quickly I recommend booking ahead on line for that tour. The discovery tour tends to sell out midday. So if you want that time I recommend booking ahead.
Yes you don't need reservations, but it's always good to call the before you head out. To check if it's open or closed due to wind. We had no issues and only waited for like 5 minutes, no line at all. It just might depend on the day you go. Just call them to make sure on the wind and line.
We didnt have a reservation, we just walked in and paid for the tour about 20 minutes before it started. They say be prepared for 45 minutes to an hour. We had our toddler with us, and it still only took 45 minutes.
