Absolutely disgusting food. Enchiladas are toasted and burnt from grill grease. Cheese in quesadillas isn't fully melted. Rice is gross as well, with a terrible after taste. Oddly the diet coke even tastes bad.

Great foot, never been disappointed! I had the cantina nachos today and added chicken and vegetables. I never expected sauteed vegetables in a Mexican restaurant to include broccoli and carrots, but it was delicious! My husband got the beef enchiladas, he loved the enchilada sauce. The only warning - the nachos are huge - not meant for 1I. Our waitress Katie had 5 other tables, yet I felt like we were her only concern. She gave us amazing service.

Holy…smokes! The Avocado Pork burrito here is unbelievable. I have enjoyed many wonderful burritos in San Diego, but I’m struggling to identity one that rivals this one. I realize that chips, salsa, and guacamole have a tendency to be over looked and taken for granted, but I’d come back here again simply for those 3 things. This place is a bit off the beaten path, but well worth the additional drive time (and the line that you’ll find outside waiting to get in). And that’s Henry’s Take. @henrystake

I don't know if it's because we were really hungry or the food is that good, we loved this place! We came here around 6 on a weekend which was perfect because it got really busy after that!! We got the Pueblano chili and the chicken enchiladas. Both were really really good and the portions were not too big. The veggies with the chili were simply delicious! The salsa had a decent kick to it. The nachos were good. All in all, really liked this place.

That is an interesting question.....
They were observing all the required covid restrictions, limited amount of people in the Cantina, staff were wearing masks. Very safe place and a wonderful place to eat or get drinks. Staff was great, friendly and helpful. We highly recommend Crystal Cantina.
Sorry Alice, we have decided to close all together
yes, many good GF options. Our menu is naturally GF if you avoid the burrittos and few other items. Your server can help point out some ideas. Thank you!
Hi Ashley, Sorry for the hassle. You can make to -go orders but they have to be made in person at the bar. We rush them to the front of the line and get you on your way quickly. Thanks for asking, Justin
No reservations needed but I can't answer about Mission Bell ..decor is very nice though ..we really enjoyed everything
I managed restaurants for several years. Most places will hire 16 - 21 year olds for dishwasher and busser positions. Work hard, be reliable and impress the chef, and you can work your way up to prep cook, line cook or server from there. Liquor laws require anyone serving alcohol to be 21. Some places won't hire under 21 bussers, since that position will back up the servers. It is best to apply in person. Dress nicely, but don't go over the top. The responses above have good advice, too. Good luck.
On Friday and Saturday during popular dining hours I would suggest reservations. Otherwise you should be fine!
