Old 59 diner is very slowly becoming Betty's Tacos. 59 Diner used to be owned by the owner of the IHOP across the freeway. Avalon is related to the original Avalon in town. They're planning a new one in Katy.

No, it's a franchise location of the original Avalon Diner on Westheimer, that's open since 1938. Good food, decent prices. The chicken salad is my favorite ;)
