This is a high crime area and some of the residents opens the gates for strangers and that makes it harder to protect your property. So the gate that's surrounding the property is really decoration and to make you think you're safe. So find a complex with surveillance cameras for your added protection.

I lived at this complex for 3 years. It was a decent place to live despite a few flaws. There is little to no parking unless you rent a spot and the dumpsters smell terrible. Maintenance is usually quick to replace things that break so positive there. Office staff is slow to inform residents of pressing matters. I have seen emails go out at 9-10 am that residents are not allowed to park in their parking spots because of construction on the same day the work is taking place, giving residents no time to move their cars. I moved out over a month ago and have yet to receive any of my security deposit back. I called their office multiple times after the legal 30 day deadline had passed and finally got an email saying a check was being mailed but that they were holding $150 out of the $200, including a $20 charge for dusty ceiling fans. When I pointed out that per Texas Property code I should have had my money and/or this list over a week prior, I was basically told too bad. I asked them to waive $45 of the cleaning fees as they were in violation of Texas law at this point, but was refused. I pointed out that they legally aren’t allowed to hold any of my deposit for damages after 30 days and so they said they’d release my $200 but that I still owed them $150 or they’d send me to collections. They basically implied I should have been charged even more because my oven drip pans were also dirty and that I should have just paid for their $161 express cleaning service so that I wouldn’t have gotten the $95 in cleaning fees that I did. It is beyond disappointing to see that a company as large as MAA is willing to disrespect tenant rights and the good relationship of a long time resident over $45, dusty ceiling fans, and an oven that wasn’t wiped out when they are the ones in current violation of Texas law. I will never rent from this company again nor do I recommend anyone else do. As of writing this review, it has been 45+ days since move out and I have yet to receive any of the money owed to me.

So close to the highway you feel you are indeed sleeping under that bridge. Located in the middle of warehouses. Trucks coming in and out all night long and parking in the same street. Forget about having a good night of sleep,

Staff is great, my neighbors are good. I was disappointed in how long it takes to get serious issues fixed on the property. BIG potholes for months, i needed to walk through a large puddle to get to my car for months. Its a lot of money to have to have those issues last for so long.
