I read in the reviews there's staff at the sign that take your picture in front of the Las Vegas sign. Is this accurate? Do they charge a fee? Do we have to tip? Can I use my camera instead? (Selfie stick) And where would be best to park? Thanks.

Yes, there is a "photographer "for hire who claims to be "OFFICIAL" but its public land , and when you reach the front of the line you can "selfie" all you want. DONT BE CONNED OR INTIMIDATED .Parking turn over is quick, be patient and DO NOT PARK IN HANDICAPED EVEN FOR A SECOND!

It's open and free as far as I could see...no fees ...about 60 parking spots.

You can take own pictures. As many as you want with your camera or smartphone. There is a guy with officially looking badge but he told us that he did badge by self. He will help with pictures, will do this with your equipment. And stage you nicely. So you get all of your party in the frame. And there is no fee, just tip as you feel comfortable. And because he looks official he will chase other people off the frame so you and only you are photographed.

There is parking there for free. i have seen peole there with camera who want to know if you want your picture taken. I use my camera. They definitely want to be paid for their pictures.

There was when the memorial was there. But anyone who is there at the same time will take a picture if you ask them

Ronald Koszela | Nov 5, 2018

There isn't a staff person there but there was a man that would take your picture for fee. You can take your own pictures for free. There is a Harley Davidson store nearby you probably can park there then walk to the sign.

Garey T. Martin | Nov 5, 2018

Unless they recently added them the only people offering to take your picture there are doing it on their own for tips, yes you can take your own pictures there. And you can park right in the Welcome to Las Vegas sign parking lot which is accessible from the southbound lanes of Las Vegas Blvd.

Don't ever pay for a pitcher at the welcome sign. Those are fake people trying to trick people out of money. They are not official they do not own the sign they are most likely homeless taking advantage of tourists

Tracey Spence | Nov 5, 2018

Thank you, everyone. You were all very helpful. I wasn't aware that there is parking near the sign or one designated for tourist going to the sign. I'll look for it. Thanks everyone very much. Happy holidays!

No staff when I was around. I just asked the people behind me and offered to shoot for them.

Ernesto Castillo | Nov 5, 2018

You can take pictures by yourself at no cost...

Karla Gonzalez | Nov 5, 2018

I went there last week and there was no staff around, but there's people doing line behind you that could help you taking the picture, you don't have to tip them.

Brinda Rao | Nov 5, 2018

There is a staff who'll help you with clicking pictures. People were usually tipping the staff as a good gesture. If you don't want to stand in the queue to take pictures from the staff, you could take as many as pictures you'd like from the either sides of the sign.

Jaime Cortes | Nov 5, 2018

That place is always packed with Tourists people. They are always offering to help you take pictures. Their is a designated parking lot for you to park and don't have to pay. You can take pictures by your self.

Duddupudi Viswak | Nov 5, 2018
