How do i talk to someone about transferring my 5 month old daughter that has long gas esophagial atresia? She's been in nicu since she was born and they've only done 1 surgery here in 14 years. I want someone with more experience

Call the department you need and schedule an appointment. Do your research on the hospital and the surgeon...this is your child's health... don't be afraid to speak up and out for her. Go wherever you feel most comfortable...a Doctors feelings are of no consequence...

If you know of other specialists I would ask for their guidance. Even asking for referrals from the current physician isn't a bad thing. They should recognize their strengths and weaknesses and be able to do what's in the best interest of the patient. If it means transporting the facilities can work together to facilitate that. Just know that may or may not be covered by insurance. Good luck.
