The main reason I chose the Forester over the Outback is cargo space and it is a bit higher. The extra height makes it easier to get in and out of it for me. (5'11)

There are many differences between the two. Similar packages can have different features, seat position is different, seating room is different, cargo room and opening, among other things. You are welcome to stop in and compare the two models side by side.
