Can anyone explain to me why there is a horsepower limit in Eagle Creek reservoir? There are more big h.p. motors in there than legal ones. With no one to patrol or restrict their use it seems they everyone just does what they want anyway.

Anything over 10 can be impounded by DNR if used on the lake. Many boats have smaller electric motors that are supposed to be permissible. Don't get caught violating the limit.

Plus the wakes damage wetland areas on the shore. Bird nesting, amphibian habitat and such. If you don't create a wake they usually won't bother you.

It is supposed to limit the wakes. Sailboats and small bosts suffer on a relatively small body of wster.
