Why is mask compliance not at all enforced? I’m at gate B7 & people refusing to wear a mask are free to not wear one, despite signing that you agree to wear one including in The terminal. The gate staff says “it’s out of their control”

1.Because people are tired of wearing them. 2.They don't work. 3. All they are good for is to remind others that you're panicked and afraid to get sick. 4. If you choose to vax and wear a mask, why do you care what others do or don't do? 5. It's still a free f'n country.

Gate B7 where? The mandate is federal and only applies inside security at airports. The assumption is that local populaces that DON'T have mandates will enforce it. For instance, in Nashville I can walk up to security without a mask. I have to have one inside security. I play the game and put one on because I'm not risking the business that brings me to the airport. But I don't wear one on general principle because I'm vaccinated, I'm 40, and I've had the recent omicron. Basically no risk to me. I'm sure airlines are sick of trying to enforce it and being blasted all over the news. But feel free to join the TSA and try to "enforce" it. sic semper tyrannis

You'd need to report it to the Airport Police of whatever airport you're in.
