I think Austin Animal Center is the place to go...I found two stray kittens last Thursday and ended up taking there. Also, it's better if you ring them beforehand and explain your situation, you'll save some drive. Austin Animal Center may not have space to accommodate your pet and they'll direct you to an appropriate place
