Ms. Anderson, I am in the same boat. As a TRS retiree I had Humana for my insurance for 2 years. My PCP referred me to the Diabetes Center to continue more specialized care for my diabetes. TRS switched to United for 2021. I told the front desk and, after 2 visits in December, they told me I had to pay up front for the 2021 appt. because they DON'T take United. I checked with United and they told me they were considered in-network and would only have to pay the copay. The office insisted they DON'T BILL UH. I am looking for another doctor. Good luck! 👍

Hello, unfortunately we have not been contracted with United Healthcare since December 2019. We are not in-network with UHC. You would be considered Private Pay, but would receive the discounted Medicare rates. Additionally, we could provide you with an itemized invoice so you could submit the claim to UHC on your own and they would reimburse you directly if you have out-of-network benefits. Please contact our billing department at 512-458-8400, option 6 if you have further questions. We hope to continue to serve you in the future. Thank you.
