Is there any camping places near there or is there one there by the pier

There is no camping at the pier. But there is a huge camping area next to it. Look them up jekyll island camping. 5 star camping.

Camp ground is at entrance road to the pier, but none at the pier.

The entrance to clam creek is directly across from the entrance to the camp ground. They have tent and camper type camping

I think tent camping not permitted but campers or trailers there at North side of Island has accommodations in the trailer park Campground.

The campground is awesome but it's a good mile our so walk from campground
