We do not charge or repair window units at Colonial Plumbing and Heating. If it does need refrigerant there is a leak on the system which will probably cost more to repair and recharge than a new unit would cost. Unless it's under manufacturer warranty I think I would recommend replacing the unit rather than trying to repair and charge it. Sorry I couldn't help more. James Kester
