I agree with Blake get the combo ticket. Well worth the price. Get there early in order to see it all. We arrived around 1:00 and seen Lotz and Carter house but were too late for the plantation. They were kind enough to give us a shortened 20 min tour.
If you have the time I would strongly recommend getting either the 2 house or 3 house ticket to get a full perspective of the Battle of Franklin. The cost is higher but a savings if you see all the historic sites.
