We are so glad we visited this historic home. I will always remember the poignant story of Tod Carter. Seeing so many bullet holes in the outer farm office building was something! Also, visiting the cellar where the family stayed during the battle was memorable. If you love history, or even just like history, this is worth your time!

My friend and I did the Slaved and Enslaved tour at The Carter House and it was amazing and sobering at the same time. Our tour guide, Kristi, is an amazing guide who teaches what is true. Done miss this amazing tour!

Check out the walls and masonry strewn with bullet holes to get an idea of the Battle of Franklin's ferocity.
