Are you accustomed to adopting out pets who have been microchipped? Happened to a friend of mine. Just wasn't sure if these were typical of your tactics. It seems more and more people getting into the dog racketeering business because money in it.

Not sure that I understand the question. Are you asking the shelter if they make it a practice to do this kind of thing? or If they are familiar with it ever happening? OR... Are you asking us (the public) if we have ever been involved or witnessed this kind of thing?

I opted to microchip my fur baby just cause I always wanted to make sure he was found if he was ever lost . I happened once he got out in the new house we moved. The neighbors helped me find him because of his tag and if someone had taken him in I am sure the chip would had worked.

Sometimes chips don't read. I have my vet check my babies chips every time we go in. Sometimes the chips dont show up. Scary.
