My girlfriend is scared of going to a womens shelter from past experiences in one from VA. Is the womens shelters in NY safe and what is really the routine (Does she get her own room, or is it Grouped & will she be protected from any kind of danger)

The path is specifically for families. Unless she has a child with her they will refer her to the normal shelter.
