When does the beaches close for the winter months? I'm wanting to go back to the beach around the beginning of September would I still beable to get into the water? And is the water park open that time also?

Yes you can still get to the beach. They kinda discourage swimming at this time #1 because of no life guards on duty #2 By the middle of September the water temperature starts dropping really fast. If you're in too long you could get hyperthermia. Swim only if there are a lot of people there, or off a boat.

Beaches usually close for swimming after Labor Day. Occasionally they will stay open for a few weeks on weekends only but not every year. Waldameer Waterworld and amusement park. Usually closes labor day as well.Road around Presque Isle never closes for the winter.
