There are plenty of beaches on the west shore of Presque Isle that have parking lots for short walks to the beach.
They have maps at the Ranger Station. Don't forget to sign the Guest Book☺
One of the beaches has a sort of handicap access. I remember seeing sidewalks. Also, there were several people in wheel chairs so it could be an easy walk for someone with mobility issues. Someone else mentioned a building about a mile into the peninsula. I'm not sure if it's a park ranger office or not, but there are usually DCNR cars around.
If you drive thru the whole park as your coming toward the last few miles out of the park there is an area with picnic tables close to the road and you can tell that's its close to the water...and I noticed they put in some sidewalks to one of the beaches so it makes it easier you'll see it when you drive by it. I don't remember what number Beach it was. We were just there Monday. You can also stop at the station they have as you're coming into the park it'll be on the right hand side a little ways down and ask them what number Beach is closest to walk to, that would probably be easier.
Most of the beaches there is only a short walk to get to them. There are parking lots but I see a lot of people just pulling on the side of the road and just walking up a little mound and up to the beach
Yes their is on the west shore parking short walk family friendly
I believe the easiest Beach is going to be Beach 7 there's short walk I'd say maybe a hundred yards as long as you can park right there next to the entrance currently they are Excavating the beaches from the winter weather but that one is the easiest and as far as family or friendly and beaches around Erie I would definitely go to this one there is a good family friendly Beach and Barcelona that's in Westfield New York
