3-7 days. 7 days is usually the maximum stay. It all depends on how YOU act. If you cause problems or start fights they can hold you longer. A 72 hour hold don’t necessarily mean only 72 hours. It’s just a way that If you act up they have time to contact the courts to get another 72 hour hold
