I was discharged yesterday after being forced to stay for 7 days. I would not recommend this place for anybody whatsoever. I was told I only had to be kept for 72 hours and on my first day I read IN THEIR HANDBOOK, that you can request to be released after that time period. I asked a lady up front about it on my first day there and she told me I do that AFTER my 72 hours were up. Only to find out from another employee that what she told me was completely false and I could’ve done that my very first day there. Signing a form called the “10-10” form I thought would help me get out sooner because that’s what was explained to me, but then later I found out that is actually what kept me even longer. I was never once put on medication because I did not need any, and every single day that I was there and had to talk to somebody they asked me why I was there after seeing i did not need medication. They refused to let me go even after my parents called up there raising hell. Keep in mind that also if you have good insurance they’re going to keep you for the full 7 days JUST so they can run you and your insurance for your money . I was told for two days straight they did not have any soap. I wore dirty socks for 4 days straight because they kept telling the patients they did not have socks, but when my father called I magically was brought a new pair of socks. AND SOAP. You also have to wash your hair with BODY WASH. There is mold up and down the shower curtains in every single bathroom. The bathrooms are not ever cleaned by the janitors they just swap the trash bags. This is by far the filthiest place i’ve ever been in. They refused us patients clean water on multiple occasions. The fountain that’s provided is producing dirty water that we refused to drink but the staff was trying to force us. They eventually were giving fresh water in a pitcher for us but there was multiple times where I noticed the pitcher was dirty and requested it to be rinsed out and filled with clean water, the response I got was, “Do you want me to go to my house and clean it with my dishwasher? we don’t have soap to clean this here with so i don’t know” with a smirky attitude and i along with other patients waited for clean water for an entire hour before someone actually refilled with cleanliness. They have 0 urge to fulfill any needs within a timely manner, they take their sweet time with every single task that they do. Another bizarre thing is that the patients were helping each other heal versus the techs and therapists that were supposed to help by providing groups for us to interact in. That rarely ever happened and they definitely don’t follow the schedule they give you when you first arrive. There was only two groups that i felt could somewhat help us patients throughout the 7 days that i was locked in that place. Other than that all we did was sit there and be forced to just interact with each other because the nurse techs and others paid no mind to us, EVEN while we were trying to speak to them. Multiple patients were told to SHUT UP when asking questions or raising concern about something as simple as clean water. I personally experienced another patient with what seemed to be split personality disorder and PPD, trying to target me and repeatedly asked other patients how to kill people while staring at me. I asked the nurse techs multiple times to get her away because i felt threatened and they did not show any concern until I damn near screamed at them to handle her. She was able to come near me multiple times before that. The nurse practitioner that I saw was trying to tell me MY family’s medical history as if i don’t know my own family, continuously correcting me as i’m correcting her for stating the wrong scenarios when discussing their history. Almost as if she was trying to convince me otherwise. They also lie on their reports when they explain what the ER said to them about me and other patients. I was repeatedly asked why someone called 911 for me after i repeatedly told them 911 was never called.

Went here a year ago when I was 17 for 18 days Worst experience ever. Makes your mental health worse. The place is kept up but the staff is horrible. You have to lie and say you’re better to make any progress towards getting out. Not to mention I was put on medication that altered my mood more than it already was, and then got held down and given a shot for having a panic attack because I didn’t want to take it. Genuinely hope this place crumbles to the ground and the patients can get the actual help they need. Most disrespectful staff in the world.

This place needs to be shut immediately. Horrible facility. They are running a scam. They dont provide adequate healthcare in the least.

I truly appreciate the staff at this facility. They are really caring and go out of their way to make sure patients get the proper care and treatment they need. They have great groups that promote wellness of the body and mind. This hospital has helped people to become stable and be able to reenter society, and gain employment while maintaining a new healthy and stable lifestyle. I give you guys 5 stars because you genuinely care about people and have real interaction in a positive manner. Thank you for all you do. Your work and dedication is greatly appreciated. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

if you bring cash or any of your cards, they will take the money out without your permission and then they won't tell you until you are back home.

I just turned 18 couple of months ago and I was told I would be in the children's facility, but unfortunately instead they placed me in the progress unit and sent me to the recovery unit my first night after I begged for my clothes, which eventually escalated to yelling, and that is when I was transferred :( There are constant fights and personal attacks all the time, and the staff is NOT quick to stop it. I suggest you choose a different facility, and if you are already there/ have been before. I am/will be praying for you. You do not want to be there.

NO
Yes, when they do take you outside
They don't allow visitors
It's not guaranteed that you'll get it. Only if the doctors or counselors determine you have communication issues or it's a majority of what causes your troubles. I never got it. But from what I saw, it's anywhere from the third day onwards. Just depends on the doctors/counselors schedules.
No
I was once sent here back when I was in HS, they had boys and girls in separate rooms. Girls with girls/boys with boys, but we were all allowed to be around each other in the main room during the day. During the night they had someone monitoring the hallway and would check in rooms to make sure everyone was in their place. They had a very strict no touching policy. Not even hugging was allowed. That is something they definitely did not tolerate when I was there.
Not that I saw. But things may be different in the adolescent or high risk wings.

There's no place to purchase snacks. There's three meals a day and 1-2 snacks provided by the kitchen. Usually fruit and healthy stuff. You can take your loved one hard candies, but that's the only food allowed on the floor and the nurses keep it behind the desk until the patient requests a piece.
Yes. The nurses distribute cigarettes 3-4 times a day for smoke breaks but you have to bring your own pack.
