$50 mmcc application fee includes the cost of the card if your approved to see the doctor. After your nonrefundable $50 application has been approved you go to the doctor. The doctor visits fee is a different fee and priced by the doctor. At the doctor appointment you will then get the 1st prescription and the doctor will enter you & your into the mmcc website and hand you your prescription for the dispensary. You then will become a registered patient and get a temporary card. At the moment the doctor enters you into the mmcc website their computer will mail your already paid for card. However, when they ask for your photo in the application send 1 you like allot. It's the photo that is going to be on your identification. Had I known that my identification would have had a better hair day. Lol and welcome to peace of mind

Me and my doctor are just starting this process. He has given me the letter they say you need and he is actually a doctor on their list. We ate both confused about what happens next. He said that until dispensaries open here in VA that he doesn't have anyone to work with to come up with the correct prescription. Please help!

You now have the # because you have self identified and applied for the # from the State. Now you need to go to a doctor, licened by the State to prescribe medical marijuana, to professionally confirm that you are infirm and may benefit from medical marijuana. You generally have to pay for this, like all other doctor examinations. If the doctor confirms your infirmity you can get a card, that you will have to pay an additional $50 for. My 1st try was rejected, because my pain was not reported in 2 years of annual exam notes from my primary care physician, but rather in the exam notes from my orthopedist and I had not even thought it necessary to show my handicap placard ... (2 visits one fee, they did not charge me for the reject.). You should bring prior doctor reports or notes mentioning your infirmity to the doctor that is licensed to prescribe medical marijuana. Your handicapped placard mal also help.

1. You have your #....now is the time to see the dr., which will cost approx 100-200 bucks depending where you go. If cleared by the dr., you will leave with your "prescription" and only now can buy from a dispensary. Nice thing is, you can buy legally right after leaving the drs office. 2. Now, this is new, under MD law, come 4/1/2019, you will need the actual MMCC card issued be the state (your state issued ID, like your license, will no longer be accepted), which can be obtained by logging into your acct on MMCC, and ordering one for the cost of $50.

You have to pay for the card by law starting March or April. It is required now everywhere. Pay the money. It should be good for three years I believe. Read up.
