I applied for my daughter's passport in January through the new you york office. I'vetried calling and emailing with no response. What are her options? She needs to travel to SA in July. She has a British passport too. Can she travel on that one?

My personal experience, South Africa consulate has a page in Facebook, leave a message there and they may reply in 1 day.
