They have 3 different numbers but you have to keep calling sometimes 20 times to reach them

The consulate close at 5pm, the reception close at 3pm. Looks in the website for the right extension. You can find answers in the website for most of the questions

First of all the parents need to be registered at the consulate Then you should register the child at the civil status, then you can apply for the passport All the information are on the website look for “First Registration” and “apply for passport” In the consular Affaires section and “Birth” in civil status section www.algeria-cgny.org

Usualy it's 5 to 10 business days plus the shipping time if you're sending you application by mail. But for Algerian citizens they do exceptions, just make sure your application is complete. Hand written forms are not accepted (no exception) so make sure you fill up your application form at home then print and save a copy in case you need to make some change so you don't type it again.

If you don't have your S12 there's no way you can renew your passport. so before going to the consulate you need to make sure you have it with you. but first if you're not registered at the consulate you need to register first before you can apply for a passport. if your S12 is still in Algeria someone can send it to you by EMS to your address, if you never had an S12 before you can request it on the consulate website (there's a link from where you can request it) but like I said before you need to have your consulate card first. also to make it easy for you and for the staff make sure you have everything prepared before going on site, so fill up all the required forms an get all documents together for each application in a separate folder this is the link for the consular card : http://www.algeria-cgny.org/first-registration/

Passport does come and issued from Algeria so it may said it is ready but might take few days to receive it. If there is more other problem you can email them if not just go there as they are open on Saturday's.

I agree with you . The consulate and the people there are very good very helpful and very professional. I went many times and must say that they do a good work . Bravo again and keep up the good work. For the ones who are not happy I might understand but you also need to understand that they are doing there job and that we are not in Algeria.
