Make sure to check the tide charts! If it is high tide, there will likely not be any beach to walk on. However, at low tide there is plenty. If you schedule it so that youre there while the tide is going out, you can still get plenty of beach time in.
It is great! There is about a 2 min walk to the actual beach. The view that you are seeing is most likely behind the dunes that block the view of how big the beach is. Check out a satalite view and you will see how much space there is.
It is a little narrow on this property. In fact everytime we went out the tide was too far in and even up on the steps of the pier. Front desk offers the tide report so u can plan accordingly, but even with that, this place is beautiful. Make sure u go to driftwood Beach. It's just a couple miles down.
Keep in mind pets are allowed on beaches if they are leashed and cleaned up after- not running free.
Depends on the tide. Low tide gives you like 50 yards of beach, high tide puts your back up agaisnt the rocks. Still, we had enough space to put our whole set up out even with high tide. We loved it and will definitely be going back.
There is an access ramp to the beach at the property. The hotel is elevated beyond the sand dunes. Descent Oceanview with a firepit and outside bar and restaurant on the property.
it's not a wide beach and there are lots of boulders, cement footings from old buildings tables etc and then there the trees but that's thw whole charm of jekyll island. it's not a swimming lounging beach it's more of an exploring spectacular cle
Its great and perfect for my dog and me to play fetch, lots of room to spread out and have space. Its a nice large wide beach. Just check the tide schedule
