Easy going friendly service, well maintained bikes
Eric Mathis
Had an outstanding experience biking around the island with my two exchange students. The customer service was terrific, and the bikes were comfortable and in good working order. They outfitted our bikes with baskets and pouches, so the ride was a breeze!

There are three bike rental places I know of on Jekyll, and this is the only one we rent from, even when staying close to the others. The staff is great and so helpful, and the bikes are always in working order. We have actually returned bikes from the others, repented them early for a refund, and gone back to Beachside to get bikes.

They had a lot of bikes to choose from, including some with a kids seat, they were very nice and accomadting, service was great and if you want to go for an enjoyable bike ride around Jekyll Island, I would highly recommend renting from this location.

WE DO. $10.00 a day or $25.00 for the week.
I was there a few weeks ago. Rented two beach cruisers for 2 hours for $25.68
They do they have 2 seaters and 4 seaters but are a little more difficult to pedal but we did it
They had four wheel side by side two-seaters with spots for kids on the front, four-wheel four seaters with two spots on the front for kids and single bikes that we saw.
It depends on the type of bike and how long you are renting
My family always liked to rent the four-person "buggy" or "Surrey" bike, because if one person doesn't feel like peddling, it's no big deal, (so long as there's at least one person on each side, (3) to even out the peddling) .I do understand there might be more complications to your condition and it's not always so simple as "peddling with one leg" and I don't know whether or not you're capable/inclined to peddling at all. I believe they also have electric buggy rentals, and others with motors. They may have golf carts, too. I'm sure if you call one of the bike-rentals they can help you or recommend something, and if they don't have it they might point you to the place that does - people there have always been really helpful in my experience.
I biked all of the island and never had to ride on gravel. It's your choice if you get on dirt and gravel
