Great Dunes beach (the beach the Westin looks over) is very dog friendly, as is much of the island. Glory beach behind the soccer complex is the only one I know of that isn't. I take my dogs to the island constantly. Many restaurants have outdoor seating that allows dogs to be there. I recommend the fried shrimp at the Love Shack inside the Jekyll Market, The Reserve at the Westin, and Wee Pub! The Westin is dog friendly too, I see guests with dogs in and out and there is a great grassy courtyard where you can hang out with your dog :)
During a stay at the hotel, I saw small dogs at/in the hotel. I do not know their limits but it certainly appears they are dog friendly. As far as the beach, I saw many medium and small dogs playing on the beach with their owners nearby.
Very pet friendly. Oceanfront hotels and the courtyard of the historic hotel have dog watering stations. There are "pickup bags" and waste cans throughout the trails circling the island and at the beach. Leashes are required, due to it being a wildlife sanctuary and, of course, the dunes are off-limits to two and four-legged guests.
I think that it is as I saw a few dogs in and around, as well as on the beach.
There were dogs inside for sure.
Very pet friendly
I always stay at the holiday inn resort because they are pet friendly. The beach is 100% a pet heaven... you can let your dog run loose and have the time of his life! I bring my dog 2 to 3 times a year
I saw lots of dogs on the beach. It made me wish i had brought mine!
Yes, pet friendly. Not sure what ir if size limit but I saw a medium size dog there. Great place to stay.
