My heart goes out to you. My experience with them was unpleasant. I am a senior disabled woman who was looking for a companion cat. I told them this at the beginning that I would not be able to care for a cat with extensive medical needs.. They said if the cat was sick I could bring it back. I love cats so much. I adopted one of their cats that turned out to have a sever breathing problem. When I brought the cat back I was treated very unkindly. When I called their main office to check on this policy I was told I should hide my disability. I cried for days over this cruel treatment. A friend who drove me over to take the cat back had to intercede and tell them to not be so hard on me as I was crying. Cats matter alot but so do people. Guilt tripping me and judging me was not fair and very unkind at such a difficult and painful time for me. I would never adopt from them again or recomend them to anyone due to my personal experience. Churches have bulletin boards to help .
You would need to call first for availability. You also need to get a snap test done and be negative for feline leukemia and aids, there is a 50$ surrender fee for a fixed cat. You can also ask for a list of #s for no kill shelters and have more options.
