You should network with family and friends. Abandoning your pet to the shelter is a terrible idea.
Please try to find a nice place for your dog. Dogs dont care as long as they are being loved. Just please dont let the space be the reason.
Gross. Your pet should be a part of your family. You don't abandon them. Learn to take your dog for a walk, and if needed, take him or her to doggie daycare.
I have a black lab myself and she's 4 years old almost 5. I moved into an apartment 3 years ago and you know what she is happy as can be. Of course the difference is I now don't have a yard but I walk her three times a day and exercise her at the park at least once a day for 2 hours. She is happy and healthy. I share this with you because I don't want you to limit yourself just two people who have a yard. All you need is someone who will love your dog and make sure they take care of it. I agree that the shelter is a horrible idea. There are a lot of resources out there to rehome your dog. Search them out talk to friends family and Neighbors and I'll bet you can find a great home for your pet. Good luck and God bless I'm sure it's going to work out for you.

do not under any circumstances take your pet to the shelter , it's a death sentence, use your resources and network with friends family and Facebook groups to regime your pet
