I'm certain they have regulations but they seem to bring in animals of "Purebred" nature. I visited and they are a small rescue. Not many animals at all. I doubt this establishment gets many grants to fund their business. They are also very difficult to adopt from. They denied me cuz my dogs were 5 months late on shots as well as told me my house was in foreclosure. They got their information from "Zillow" of all places! I jumped through hoops and was able to sue Zillow for "Slander of title" but they settled out of court for 7,000. My animals were given their updated shots and I qualified to adopt but I was so angry that I chose NOT to adopt from this establishment. I was also dissapointed in the way the animals (my particular animal) was treated. They muzzled him. He was a Blue Heeler and they are uneducated about the breed itself. I don't recommend Pet Angels Rescue. Run like Forrrrest!
Carolyn, we do not necessarily have regulations on accepting in new intakes of owner surrenders outside of the having the space and the pet must be able to get along with other dogs of like size. When we have space we accept all breeds of dogs. Right now we are on hold for new intakes of large breed dogs as we do not have space. Most all rescues and shelters are bursting at the seams. We try and help as many animals in need as possible but the space and resources to care for them is limited. We typically have 60-80 dogs in our care at any given time and they are listed once the intake process is complete. We truly wish we could help them all. We receive no public assistance and operate strictly on donations and grants from many wonderful organizations, foundations, and individuals that support our cause. We are actually one of the larger rescues in this area and have a beautiful, bright, clean, and well run facility. Thank You, Nancy Velletta/Pet Angels Adoption Coordinator
