Chicago Architecture Foundation offers great tours. One if the numerous ones i have taken did INCLUDE The Palmer House. Check with the foundation about what they recommend. I STRONGLY recommend The Palmer House, Chicago Architecture Foundation, the tours, etc. REALLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. You'll get a lot more out of what you see.
Stop by and see the first few floors. The rooms are great but that isn't what you would really want to see anyway.

Go there anyways. You can see a lot of the architecture from public areas and maybe they can show you a clean room too.
