Hello USPS at the Thompson Center, Chicago, IL.
I stopped by Friday (6/8/18 at 4:45 pm to drop off mail. The facility was closed and no notice was on the door for customers. Is this facility still open?

Yes the facility is still open. An emergency occurred friday which caused the office to close early. We apologize for the inconvenience.

It is now. This 100 W. Randolph location is now permanently closed, since 6-2-2022.
