It is possible to have this done through geek squad, but it is a very expensive and long process. If the USB is unreadable on any computer, you're looking at a minimum cost of around $500 and at least a month for the repair
No, but I would try it in a couple of different computers/laptops anyway just to be sure. And just a side note, you should always back up data on another device or media just in case. Never hurts to have 2.
