Terrible city. Terrible city government. They employ tyrants & “policies” that restrict citizens access to essential government functions & even will violate your civil rights if you assert them. Just visit the city and watch the news and you’ll understand the type of business they do in this building. Research former mayor Lovely Warren… they didn’t even force her out! What a joke.

Ignorant tyrants work at this city hall! Don't let them violate your rights. These people should not work for the public.

This is a historical, influential local government office with State, Federal and International alliances. Though I am from Zambia, it was an honor to witness renewed ties between Rochester and Mali, Africa. Mayor Evans and the ambassador from Mali 🇲🇱 made assurances concerning this Intercontinental partnership. Could Zambia be next? I hope so. A friend and I played African drums as representatives from Building Families First, based here in Rochester.

My fiancé and I just went in to get our marriage license, and we were dreading going- we were expecting an unfriendly and difficult experience like going to the DMV or something. We were so pleasantly surprised! The building is clean, and the staff were exceptional. Even the guard at the front door was fantastic. The staff were all friendly, accommodating, and very helpful. Even the staff that weren’t helping us were kind!

Hello Kay, of course your feelings and beliefs matter, that is why the City of Rochester hangs the United States of America fly all the time. However, because we live in such a diverse world, they have to respect the feelings and beliefs of everyone who represents our diverse community. I am sorry that your feelings are hurt, but as a woman of color, I appreciate that the City of Rochester is celebrating the the diversity of our community. The City of Rochester is about diversity and inclusion, and I feel that representation of the gay pride flag shows that the city is true to the inclusion of everyone who represents our community.

I suggest that you call the City of Rochester. They are very polite and helpful on the phone. If that is the place that you need to go please do go there. They will help you do the paperwork. I always found them to be cooperative. Good luck.

Everywhere you look in Rochester you see garbage, plastic cups, papers all over the city. Why aren’t there garbage bins in this city, why aren’t posted littering fees, why the police doesn’t enforce these fees. Honestly Rochester feels like a pigsty.
