Some time in the spring. Unfortunately I don't know the exact date. I have never seen animals by the hill. I always find buffalo around the entrance.
Beginning of May on the loop drive and overlook. Open year round up to feeding grounds and visitors center. Hiking trails have access year around for those that want to snowshoe in winter or hike in summer.
