The trails are okay, not very long. Considering it's in North Dakota, there is a bit of a change in elevation as you walk on the trails so it's easy to moderate intensity.

There are picnic tables on south side of visitors center. No place to cook food there. Bathrooms and visitors center are closed at this time due to covert 19. Use social distancing when out there.
They should be visible, but the gate closes at sundown
Some time in the spring. Unfortunately I don't know the exact date. I have never seen animals by the hill. I always find buffalo around the entrance.
Yes on lead on hiking trails and around visitors center. Not in the big game area from entrance through drive loop. Prairie dog and feeding grounds is no dogs area.
Opened today.
Main animals are American Bison, Rocky Mountain Elk, and colony of Black Tailed Prairie Dogs.
