Is it true that the people who deliver your groceries are independant contractors not insured by walmart? Who covers them financially if they are injured in my home? Walmart or me?

Yes the are independent contractors that deliver for Walmart but it is door service not indoor service

In my experience (and bear in mind this is my opinion only) independent contractors are responsible for their own insurance. I owned a business that utilized independent delivery drivers to carry parts to auto shops and they were required to to carry their own vehicle and worker's comp insurance. That was in Tennessee, however, so I am not familiar with local and state laws that may differ. If you need an exact answer I suggest Ja L's advice to call Bentonville and ask for sure.
