Is there a campground near cades cove,that you dont have to go through Gatlinburg to get to

Several in Townsend..all very nice.

I would use one in Townsend

townsend is the best location

Townsend has several. You can get there from Maryville or pigeon forge or Gatlinburg.

Take the bi-pass.

What do campsites cost

You can also camp at Elkmont inside the park. It's half way between Gatlinburg and Townsend, as long as you come in from the Townsend entrance you will never have to step foot into Gatlinburg unless you want too.
