Always love coming here. Beautiful scenery and a good place to see black bears.

This place is beautiful. They have some great historical buildings onsite and some beautiful views of the mountains. If you are lucky you might see a bear!

Good question.
No we had to rent a cabin
Yes! You will have to pull up their website to make sure you choose a camper site though
Be good if you did they may already be booked up
I have seen people driving the around the loop with dogs in tow. Just remember that there are wild animals all around. Black Bear are everywhere this season. Just be aware.
Yes always bear proof your area when camping. Mainly just keep anything that a bear could consider food will away from your tent
I heard an employee tell a customer that there was some internet service under a Pavillion at the campground store.
$15 an hour including the helmet. Campground guests only can rent 24 hours for $60.
Sure is. Wednesdays are bicycles but every other day.
Yes, there is a dump and fill Station within the campground. Easy access.
Basic camping gear, snacks, drinks, ice, firewood, and souvenirs. There's also a concession stand style grill with ice cream, hotdogs, etc.
Yiu Check in on line
Call Gt Smoky Mts Natl Park 865-436-1301
Yes. I don't suggest you drive on the Loop Road but Laurel Creek Rd to campground is no problem. Loop Rd is single lane, one way with many curves, hills, hair pin turns.
Anytime between October and April. It depends on the weather patterns. You can always check the month long weather forecast at https://www.accuweather.com/en/us/cades-cove-tn/37882/october-weather/2635991
There is no limit on entry but there are no vehicles allowed in cades cove on Wednesdays.
We were just there last week and we did not hear anyone mentioning or talking about that possibility
Wednesday and Saturday. I highly recommend getting there extremely early unless you have your own bike. Oh forgot. Make sure you have plenty of space on your phone to take pictures of wildlife and the surrounding area of Gods country!! This is a do not miss ride and you will be here for the minimum of 3 hrs to take it all in properly!!
There are very few sites with 5 amp outlet for people with medical needs. When the B loop is open no generators can be used in C loop. There is no cellular network/wifi but there is an emergency phone available at the Cades Cove Campground Kiosk.
I think they are 1st come 1st served
Loop B allows generators to run from 8AM to 8 PM. Loop C is a non generator loop. Don't know about golf carts.
I saw quite a few people with two tents in one spot.
Not sure. You should contact them in advance
Check it out online it will tell you all about what the campground provides the right now Cades Cove is closed for Road repair
No... in fact there are signs posted saying to stay 50 feet or more away and to not feed the wildlife at all....
Thats a question you should maybe call and ask. This is a basic information forum.
No they dont.. they do have restrooms
Lots of hiking trails and there are some back country camp sites
I think so because it's not a primitive Campground
No showers on site. Just restrooms
Can only have a fire in a fire pit in designated areas... such as the picnic area. . Theres only a fee if u camp
Yes there is one, and it is indeed a great campground.
If camping they have few sites with 5 amp connections for medical purposes
I believe they allow pull ins BUT... This is a super popular campground. It is often full so u would be taking a chance. We have friends who call in to make reservations as they do not like making them on line. They take reservations six months in advance. Cades Cove is a beautiful and quiet campground. You are actually camping inside the national park. If u are in a camper and bringing a generator be sure u get on a loop that allows generators...B is the loop...i think...just double check. If your idea of camping is hooking up to wifi ...sitting in the air conditioning and watching satellite tv...this would not be the campground for you. But if you love the great outdoors...seeing wildlife...sitting by the fire, riding bikes and making new friends... You couldn't find a better place.
Anthonys creek is a primitive horse camp. There is no electricity or water there. But there is a toilet. The Cades Cove camp ground however has a store, water, electricity and a dump station for campers.
Yes only at store. No cell service for any carrier. The campground has no services at all.
You must check in when you arrive the day of your reservation. If you arrive after the office closes, you must check in between 8:30 and 9:00 am the next morning.
Yes it is self check in. Just find a spot fill out the form and drop the form and payment in the box. You are not able to make reservations until May 15. All sites are first come right now
Cades Cove is open year round from sunrise to sunset, weather permitting. The Cades Cove Loop Road is only closed on Wednesday and Saturday mornings, from May through September, until 10 a.m. This allows bicyclists and pedestrians a few hours at the Cove without vehicles.
Make your reservation 6 months inn advance. That being said, I was there in April and plenty of doors available even with half of the campground closed down
Yes
Copied from cades cove website.....There are no showers or electric, water or sewer hook-ups in the park. Some accessible sites have a 5 amp electric hookup for medical equipment use. Quiet hours are in effect from 10 PM to 6 AM. Generator Use: Generator use and the idling of engines to charge batteries is prohibited in C Loop whenever Loop B is open for camping. Once B Loop closes for the season then generators will be allowed in Loop C, with restricted hours, until Loop B reopens for camping.
Yes
