I am a Vietnam veteran with two purple hearts. I utilize the VA for all my medical needs. Can I shop inside the exchange? I have no disabilities and spent 3 years in the Army.

I work at the exchange at Selfridge ANG. IN order to shop at the exchange or commissary you must either be a retired veteran or immediate family. All disabled veterans can also shop your id must state service disabled. You can bring people into the exchange but not commisary. They can get on base with photo id. Kids do not need id. The main person must make purchases for those without id. I am an Army vet myself and have shopped at shopmyexchange.com for years before i started working at Selfridge. ALL military vets no matter how long you served CAN shop tax free online at shopmyexchange.com and have anything delivered to your home. If you have base access you can ship to store and pick up curbside. If I remember right, I believe it will verify your service once you create an account. You can view the sales flyers online also. Any veteran can get a Military Star credit card also, which has some great perks to it! I hope this answers all your questions. Thank you all for your service

If you have a card allowing you on base, you can shop on the exchange. They are now allowing you to shop on shopmyexchange.com as well.
