Again Scott incorrect. Typically the only 1099s the Tax Commission wants filed with the annual reconciliation are ones with withholding, most of the time they are 1099r's.
Yes. Seldom is anything withheld on a 1099. The purpose of a1099 is so the IRS knows you made a certain amount of money. (They get a copy from whoever you did the work for. You ARE LIABLE TO PAY ALL TAXES (Social Security ", MEDICARE, ETC - med will probably be higher because you will need to compensate for what the employeers portion would have been.) If you don't have income high enough to be taxed you will probably not have to pay income taxes BUT most likely the SS, medical withholding. Go to a tax service if you need help. BUT… DON'T IGNORE it - there COULD BE substantial penalties. Lots of luck.
