My 19 year old cat had been showing signs of what I thought was a respiratory infection. We had an appointment with our regular vet for Wednesday, but this afternoon (Monday) Loki had a seizure and was bleeding from his mouth. I called ahead of time to let staff what had happened and they told us to come right away. Loki was immediately taken back and assessed. The doctor discussed what could and could not be done and was upfront with costs. Ultimately Loki was euthanized. The staff was so kind to my daughter and myself. Thank you for all your empathy and kindness.

Wait was 3-4 hours. Poorly staffed and not busy the entire time I was sitting and waiting. Staff laughing and chatting while I waited for my dog to be seen. I understand the wait if there were emergency procedures but the hours waiting with no other patients and staff joking around was frustrating. Uncomfortable waiting room and uninterested receptionist. AVC was full so they recommended that in go to this ER and not wait until morning. Staff here could care less despite my dog clearly not breathing well. Will not return if I can help it.

Our dog had an eye injury on Saturday, we brought him into the ER we were told it was going to be a 4-5 hour wait. We waited 5 hours without any check up from the staff. I had to go and ask someone to come look at his eye as we felt it was getting worse. The doctor finally came in, she was great. She did the best to her knowledge and sent us home with prescriptions and advised us to get in contact with a specialist. Flash forward a day and a half and our dogs eye ended up rupturing. We called the line as we were told they would be able to help with any questions or any concerns in the meantime. We were trying to see if we could get him pain medication until his appointment later that day. We were told he'd have to wait another five hours to be seen after his eye had ruptured to be "evaluated" again and to get pain meds. The receptionist on the phone was very rude, as a concerned pet owner the last thing you want to hear is no compassion behind the phone. We ended up calling another vet clinic who's wait was just the same but they got us in instantly because of how serious this is and was able to help him. We will never be coming back to Cottonwood and I suggest you do the same if your pet has an emergency.

Sloppy work, technicians are likely to jot down your information incorrectly when relaying info to the vet, and they won't give advice on complications at home over the phone, for liability fears. They want more and more visits. I give them 2 stars because there are actually worse places.

I unfortunately had take to take my dog in recently and it cost around $350, same age, however she was a much smaller dog. I’m unsure of how weight affects the price. I’m sorry about your dog

How much is it to put down an animal

It is more like $300+ if you go in as an ER visit. No tests, but with the ER visit and physical exam, plus cremation. So i would schedule it if possible.

My sweet fur baby injured his leg while hunting with my husband. Doesn’t think it’s bone seeing as he said it stiffens up and can’t walk on it after sitting for a short bit. But then it gets slightly easier. Can this wait or is it urgent?

Take the animal. Symptoms may not seem so bad. If there is a real issue waiting will only make it worse.
