Come out on weds on Hudson location. Dan is there every other weds it seems but any manager there will give you all the info you need. My older kid and I go on weds usually and try to throw out those pointers as well. I can tell you as a regular 45 yr old skater, you are as good as the skates on your feet. I spent good money on skates and it shows. Went the cheap route once but didn't do well. Blisters etc!! Great way to exercise with great music too. I've lost 20 pounds since I've regularly gone skating.
I know that they have lessons in general and a nice beginners corner. There a many regulars that skate there that are kind and if they see you struggling they will give helpful tips and encourage you on. Just picked back up on skating after 6 year break and have had to shake off some rust but I asked a few regulars and kids for some pointers and all are were kind to show and explain. Dan is the manager and very helpful and friendly.
