Animal Friends does have a limited number of cages for emergency boarding, in the event, for example, of a fire that leaves someone homeless. I dont doubt that any cat would prefer an extra room at a kind friend's house as opposed to a cage at any shelter or boarding facility, so i would exhaust all possible resources before inquiring about emergency boarding. If you have, perhaps try to contact Animal Friends Admissions department to see if there is space. I do not know the cost of emergency boarding.
Be honest you would have contract them about that and I'm sure direct you in right way.
I would suggest trying to find friend or relative that could help out before trying to board. Im sure the cat would appreciate it as well
Animal friends does not have boarding facilities. Can you check google or perhaps a friend can kitty sit for you. Hopefully whatever you choose will not be too costly. Good Luck finding what you need for kitty and yourself.
