I just used the auto tour and got out and walked around at certain stops. You not want to walk the entire site.
There are 26 miles of roads that make up the entire park so I would advise driving and parking at certain points and walk to other locations but use a car as your main way to get around.
I did the Grettyped tour. Guided tour in scooter coupe we stop at multiple sites and got out to hear stories of the history of the site. Minimal walking
I agree with that statement. We were surprised how much of the battle field is still there. I wood advice some walking if possible.
Depends on what you want to see. The auto tour is great and you leave your car when you want to. To really get a feel for the battlefield, comfortable shoes and some walking is what is needed.
There is a good deal of walking because it's such a large battlefield but you can drive to most places if that's easier.
you can drive and visit sites or you can walk, there are lots of walking trails between sitesn its up to the individual
On the auto tour, you can do as much or as little walking as you want. Depends on how many monuments/plaques you want to see.
We hired a car guide to drive the entire tour. We did park a few times but walking is entirely up to you. Guides can be reserved at the Visitor center and they will drive your car. Reaervations can be made and purchased on their website.
Most if the park is accessible via car but to really experience there are some areas that require parking
Thats whats great about it, you can drive an park an walk when you want to
