I agree dont go alone but it is very safe with uniform police patrols, and much more undercovered police, dont do anything illegal and enjoy downtown, listen to a band, watch the street performers, and Freemont Experience with your friends.
Safe .. and so full of things you could never imagine all in one spot. Zip lining.. beggars, strippers, funny rabbits, painters, jewelry, dancers, hobos.. name it you'll see it there.. but agree with Uber..
The street itself is very safe...But not the surroundings...Get an Uber to 4 queens, enjoy the street and then grab Uber back waiting in the same location (by 4 queen casino)...Definitively worth it...Check the time for the LED display show every night..have fun
Yes very very safe it's so safe youcould be a women with a kid in the stroller and that,is,because eyes in the sky us locals call it we all know better and so much security it doesnt matter what time at night or morning in Fremont st your best protected

It's hard for me to really answer this question for you they do have police patrolling down there. So all I can say to you is be safe. It's a lot of funny you'll enjoy it
Only on the 4 blocks of Fremont experience itself, dont stray from there. Especially an unaccompanied female
