For parking, my husband and I found some free parking only after we left. Going down main street, just past Cavenders, and the furniture store on the other side of Billy Bob's Texas, there is a ten dollar parking area that is super easy to miss. Once you turn, keep going down the road until you get to the exit. On the other side of that road is an area with free parking.
The cattle drive is at 11:30 am & 4:30,and the gun fight is at 11:45 & 4:45. We always get there around 11:00 and watch the cattle drive and gun fight, eat lunch and walk around. There is not a charge for this only parking. The rodeo at night is going to cost but is very minimal. You don't have to pay in advance.
If you are talking about the actual rodeo in the stockyards, it starts at 8pm. Gates open at 6:30. Everything else there closes around nine. Except the bars obviously. Lol
