It's a chuckwallapalooza at Pima. Beautiful specimens of others as well. Whiptails and we even saw a desert iguana there, which we hadn't seen in 5 years of surveys, so that was awesome!

Yes, there are lizards in the park. The lizards hide in the space between the rocks.

You see lizards occasionally. In 10 years I have yet to see a snake and have only seen a handful of lizards. I am a trail runner and frequent many out of the way trails. I have seen far more coyote and javelina than reptiles!

Tons! They skitter away pretty quickly when you approach. Coyote in the area as well, so keep any canine hiking buddies close as they're sure to be protective of any pups.
