It's a Dyson they'll probably fix it while you wait
when plugged in does the indicator light stay on or turn off in a couple minutes
Mine did the same, when I took it to the repair shop they found a clog in the tube and the filter inside the vaccum for full too.. It was a quick fix that they did on the spot.. The staff at Dyson repair store are very helpful and knowledgable.. I am so glad they have this repair facility available.

Your filter is possibly clogged. But I agree head to dyson repair/service
Just head to their shop. They will repair it for free. Dyson's are covers for 5 years.
